Two local firms pair up to lay foundation for Internet portal

Two Malaysian companies have forged a strategic partnership to build and install a RM7mil IT infrastructure system, slated to become the foundation for the soon-to-be-launched Internet portal 1800Assist.Com. 1800Assist.Com Sdn Bhd (ACSB), an Internet start-up, has been working over the past eight months to put in place various elements including intellectual content, Internet network components and solutions. "All systems are fully synchronised for the 1800Assist.Com to be launched around June this year," ACSB chief executive officer Micheal Soh said.
